KUZUSHI

 
  From migi shizentai, your right hand kumikata has Uke’s left lapel a little higher than usual. Make Uke advance his left foot by pulling with your right hand toward your migi ushiro sumi. Just as he begins to bring his left foot forward, advance your own right foot so as to place it between Uke’s feet. Slide your left foot up to meet your right foot.  Pull him towards his hidari mae sumi by making a large circle with your right hand holding his left lapel, forcing Uke to advance onto his left foot and bend slightly forward.  
     
 

TSUKURI

 
  At the moment his advancing left foot is about to reach the mat, step in a little on your own left leg, turning your body towards your left. Your lapel hand should lifting with your right elbow inserted under Uke's arm while your sleeve hand pulls strongly around to your left.

The relative positions of your bodies should form a “T” with Uke as the top crossbar, facing forward, and you (tori) as the stem, facing to the left (Uke’s right).

Insert your leg between Uke’s legs and sweep his left inner thigh upwards with the back of your right thigh.  Simultaneously pull your hands around towards your left side and down.
 
     
 

KAKE

 
  As you raise your right leg to lift Uke from the mat, lean forward and begin to pull Uke's sleeve toward your left hip. Drive your right, lapel-hand, to the mat so that Uke is placed at your feet. Uke is lifted off the mat by your thigh and falls because your hand action causes him to roll off your right thigh onto his back.
