KUZUSHI |
||||||||
| Uchi Makikomi is used as a modification of Ippon or Morote Seoi Nage. This is a favored throw because even if Uke is moving to counter, a slight change in your Kake can still allow you to execute the technique successfully. The kuzushi is towards Uke’s migi mae sumi. As Uke is off balance to that corner, his left foot should rise up off of the mat. | ||||||||
TSUKURI |
||||||||
| The entry into Uchi Makikomi is easiest of Uke is
circling to your right while you attempt to execute a right-side Ippon
or Morote Seoi Nage. As Uke circles to your right, it make is difficult to precisely place your hip for Kata Seoi (Should throw class like Ippon Seoi Nage or Morote Seoi Nage). This technique comes about when you step in with your right foot, followed by your left and attempt to insert your hip against Uke's right thigh. Uke, because he is circling toward your right, steps a little quicker to your right causing your hip to overshoot Uke's leg. You are now in a potentially dangerous position. You are now bent forward in front of Uke with Uke standing off of your left side and twisted to your right. |

KAKE |
||||||||
| To complete the throw, continue to wrap Uke around yourself as you twist to the left. To make the technique stronger, you will need to squat deeper or drop to your right knee. Don't drop to both knees as having the left foot on the mat provides you with added drive as you complete the throw of Uke. Twist strongly to your left and Uke will fly over you as if applying Kata Seoi. | ||||||||
