  From migi shizentai step backwards slightly with your left foot and draw Uke towards ma mae by pulling with your left hand. As Uke's right foot lands on the mat, slightly change your kuzushi direction from ma mae to migi mae sumi by using tsurikomi with both hands. The tsurikomi is executed by lifting with your right hand on Uke's lapel and pulling Uke's sleeve with your left; both in the migi mae sumi direction.  


  Turn counter-clockwise so your left foot is withdrawn widely to the rear and placed in front of Uke’s left foot.  Your right foot is then repositioned just past the outside of Uke’s advanced right foot. With he toes of your right foot pointed towards Uke’s right foot and your knee bent towards the mat, your right heel should be off the mat directly above the toes.

Your right hand should wrap itself inside of Uke's lapel so as to provide additional stability and strength to the right wrist while simultaneously pulling Uke's sleeve around toward your left hip.


  Unable to step forward due to your outstretched right leg and having placed all his weight is on his advanced right foot, Uke will fall in a big circle almost as if he tripped over his own foot. To accentuate the fall, straighten your right knee which will cause Uke's right foot to leave the mat. If timed well with the pull of your hands, Uke will perform a small turn in the air and land on his back at your feet.

The key to the hand technique is coordinated movement between your hands, legs and hips.  Timing and technique is vital.
