KUZUSHI

 
  From the right defensive posture (migi jigotai) pull Uke forward or towards his front or right front corner with your right hand.  Because your right hand has a grasp of Uke's collar directly behind his head, you are able to off-balance Uke more easily by forcing Uke to lower his head towards the mat. As his body leans forward he will take a step forward on his left foot in order to retain his balance, thereby exposing his left hip to you.

At that moment, encircle his neck with your right hand and arm along his collar, and draw him towards you - breaking his balance to his direct front (ma mae) or his right front corner (migi mae sumi). An alternative grip would be to maintain your high collar grip so that control of Uke's neck and head.
 
     
 

TSUKURI

 
  Step forward with your right foot, near to his right foot, and draw Uke's neck and shoulder with your right hand and arm. Your left hand should pull Uke's sleeve tightly across your abdomen so that Uke has no room to maneuver.  At the same time, bring your left foot back and around until your right hip makes contact with the left side of his abdomen. These movements must be synchronized.

Your hips should be inserted deeply to Uke’s right front at the waist, and your right hip must project past his right side.  From this position, twist your body to your left front, raising your hips and pulling Uke to the front with both hands.

TIP:  Your right hip must be inserted in such a way that at least half of your hip projects past Uke’s right side.
 
     
 

KAKE

 
  Uke’s body should revolve over you, with your hip serving as an axis of the wheel, and he will fall to the mat in front of you.  Maintain your grasp of Uke's collar with your right hand and lower yourself to the mat with Uke so that you can enter into Kesa Gatame immediately if Ippon is not awarded.
