KUZUSHI

 
  Uke starts by attacking your right leg with Hane Goshi. To prevent from being pulled too far off balance when Uke initiates the attack, lower your hips about 6 inches. As you lower your center of gravity, lean slightly backward and pull back with your right hand. Be careful not to over exaggerate your movement as Uke could switch to O Soto Gari to throw you.  
     
 

TSUKURI

 
  As Uke places the attacking leg against the front of your right leg, release your left hand grip and encircle Uke’s waist from behind. At the same time, keep your right leg planted firmly on the mat and raise your left leg. Your left foot should be turned in so that the bottom of your foot is placed against the back of Uke’s left heel.  
     
 

KAKE

 
  To execute the technique, lift Uke from the mat and at the same time, sweep with your left foot, Uke’s left foot to the right. This will remove Uke's feet from under him and allow you to complete the throw. Uke will fall at your feet directly in front of you.
